Rumor has it, the Wisdom Tree is the only survivor from the Griffith Park fire in 2007. As such, the tree has become famous on its own, guarding a trunk full of wishes, hopes and dreams its visitors leave behind. The trail is rather difficult, taking you from the top of Lake Hollywood Drive to giving you a panoramic view of Los Angeles. You can’t get views like this anywhere else.

Once you make your way up the Cahuenga Peak, you can sit on the logs or rocks and enjoy the serenity it brings. I also encourage you to read some of the wisdom travelers have left behind on their journey up the peak. Make sure you sign it too.

What to Wear

Hiking boots or tennis shoes. This hike is pretty difficult and goes up pretty steep. I generally fall once or twice each time I hike here so be careful. Lots of water is encouraged.

Parking

Lake Hollywood Drive and Wonder Drive. Once you park, you’ll need to walk up to the trailhead.

Happy hiking!
