It’s fire season, literally.

As the temperatures get warmer and the forests get drier, it just takes one spark to start a fire that can spread miles and miles. Here’s what to do if a wildfire erupts near you:

  1. Stay calm & keep track of fires around you

  2. Whenever possible, reduce smoke exposure.

  3. Close and roll up all windows, cover up vents and cover yourself. If a fire is near you, lay on the floor of your house or your car.

  4. Call 911 and make it easy for firefighters to find you. Leave doors unlocked.

  5. Find clear vegetation.

  6. Keep your family together.
