As I grow older, I’ve come to realize that I’ve regretted playing it safe more than taking the chance and failing.
Life isn’t perfect.
It’s hard. People disappoint you. Some will take their bad days out on you. Sometimes you’re going to be wrong and make a decision that doesn’t end favorable for you or those around you.
Yet, for some reason, the moments where you have to make a decision are the ones that tend to stand out the most.
They build your character. They prove to you what your values are. They help you build your integrity.
And most importantly, they allow you to begin trusting yourself.
It’s really a practice.
The practice of letting go and surrendering to what the world has in store for you. The practice of acting how you want to show up in the world. Learning how you want to behave and how you want to be considered in a certain situation.
To create the life of your dreams, you have to first design it. That means making decisions, acting in one direction or another, taking a stand and cheering yourself on when things don’t seem to go as quickly as a rocketship.
Here’s your reminder that you’re awesome.
Keep going.
XO,
F
