I think everybody reaches a point in their life where the chance of possibility overpowers their commitment to sticking with the status quo.
Around the time I was graduating, a person I was dating said to me, “I think you’re scared of your goals.”
They were right.
I always wanted the world, whatever that means. I wanted to take over entertainment and create something so powerful that my legacy would be remembered for generations. But what does that mean in the world of “Account Executives” and “Mid-Level Managers”?
Living in my hometown was easy. Creating a routine was easy. Starting a job was easy. Coming home at the end of the day and “staying busy” was easy. What wasn’t easy was leaning into my dreams and facing fears.
But I think you know, just as I knew then, that you sometimes just have to do it. You get to a point where everything just makes sense and you have to leave normalcy where it’s at.
That’s where the elsewhere begins.
