People will take everything from you and it’s not even their fault. They’re going to keep going and asking you to help them if you continue to give yourself over without realizing how full (or empty) your own cup is.

“How to Make Friends and Influence People” did not prepare me for the world in which I’d be living in. In a world where you’re meant to make conversation and create influence, can you gulp the unknown to make space for new beginnings?

There is very little that can surprise native Angelenos. A parrot on a bike? No problem. A salamander at the beach? Cool. The Husky population in the beach cities? Well, I thought huskies thrived in the winter but ok, no problem.

The love you receive can only be as deep as the love you have for yourself.

Close and roll up all windows, cover up vents and cover yourself. If a fire is near you, lay on the floor of your house or your car. 

I can’t help but wonder why everything has to have a reason? Why does every conversation have to be around a topic and every discussion have to have an opinion.

The good news is that you get to rewrite your story whenever you want to.

As I grow older, I’ve come to realize that I’ve regretted playing it safe more than taking the chance and failing.

I never liked the saying “If it’s important to you, you’ll prioritize it.”

Moving comes with its own challenge and problems but also the excitement of starting over somewhere new. Creating a new opportunity for you, your loved ones, and your career.
