I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Los Angeles is like a hidden gem. Everyone knows how incredible everything here is but few allow themselves the adventure and fun to play in the sun and truly enjoy everything the city has to offer.

Here are some of my favorite places to visit if you’re here for the weekend.

Friday Night:

Catch the sunset by a beach and have dinner in DTLA. It’d be a shame not to visit the city and at night the rooftop is the place to go. Try Perch or Takami, my favorites.

If you know the secrets, you can even head to some speakesy’s but those won’t come here…

Saturday:

Have a beach day! Drive down the Pacific Coast Highway and enjoy the beachy weather and water in Malibu, Santa Monica or South Bay.

For more touristy destinations and activities, head to Santa Monica for the beach and explore the various artists and musicians around the boardwalk.

Or, if you prefer to relax, head to the South Bay and enjoy a chill beach day in Manhattan Beach or Hermosa Beach. Downtown Redondo also has lots of stores and restaurants to explore.

At night, head to the Santa Monica bars and lounges to enjoy a few cocktails and go dancing.

Sunday:

Start your day with a farmer’s market. My personal favorite is the one in Malibu, but Brentwood and Hollywood have something for everyone. If you like to go shopping, visit the Fairfax Market in Hollywood as well. For just a $2 donation, you can find everything from home decor, clothes, crystals and more.

You can’t leave LA without heading on at least one hike. Enjoy the last few hours of LA by visiting Runyon Canyon or Santa Monica Mountains. Trust me, it’s worth it.

Enjoy!
